INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
Word Of Life International, Inc. is supporting few ongoing international projects in Nigeria, India and Ghana. Our goal is to work with local communities and organizations to develop sustainable projects to address hunger, good health and well-being, decent work and economic growth, quality education, affordable energy and social and environmental justice. Below are some of our ongoing international projects:
Nigeria:
Lagos- Stay-In-School Program
The stay-in-school program ensures that homeless youth and children from poor families are properly equipped for school, thereby freeing the parents who have been reluctant to send their children to school because of lack of resources. Parents are be able to pursue their daily activities without worrying about the school needs of their children. The after-school extra-mural classes helps to widen the scope of learning of the students beyond the regular academic exercises, identifying and developing their talent and skills in areas that will enhance their future. It also engage their minds in worthwhile pursuits during free after-school periods, which time they may use in unproductive pursuits.
Jos- Utan Community Water Project
Lack of potable water is at the root of the poor health level of people in the Jos area. We currently provide free water supply to the Utan area of Jos North Local Government area with appreciable impact on the health and general well-being of the people. Access to good water supply will no doubt enhance the level of health of the people of the affected communities. Moreover, it will cut down, to a considerable extent, the time spent in searching for water for domestic uses, which could now be directed to more productive areas.
